Artists can now share a voice message with fans by attaching a recording to Amazon Music songs, <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/how-can-i-get-my-song-on-amazon-music-playlists\/\">playlists<\/a>, or albums.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Messages could reveal secrets behind <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/how-can-musicians-and-producers-tell-when-their-track-is-finished\/\">songwriting <\/a>or offer a peek at plans for the future by promoting new music on Amazon. The feature was <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/amazon-musics-new-spotlight-feature\/\">first teased last year<\/a>. For now, only users in the US will be able to hear Spotlights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div align=\"center\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Get the stories behind the music straight from your favorite artists. Head to the app to listen now &#x1f3a7; &#x1f3b6; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/LZpCR5Htvs\">pic.twitter.com\/LZpCR5Htvs<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Amazon Music (@amazonmusic) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/amazonmusic\/status\/1499184093090750465?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 3, 2022<\/a><\/blockquote> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Each artist can have one Spotlight, which can be updated whenever needed. Once published, <a href=\"http:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/how-to-see-your-musics-analytics-and-trends-in-real-time-on-amazon-music-for-artists\/\">Amazon Music <\/a>users will see the Spotlight at the top of the artist\u2019s profile page. The message will also appear in the activity feed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Artists, provided they have over 3,000 fans, can find the feature in the Amazon Music for Artists App under Profile &amp; Tools. Only Owners or Admins of an artist\u2019s team can publish the content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new feature is in keeping with Amazon\u2019s other voice-focused ventures like Alexa assistant and Echo smart speakers. Speaking of Alexa, fans can hear Spotlights on Echo <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/how-do-i-authorize-a-device-for-amazon-music\/\">devices <\/a>by saying: \u201cAlexa, play the [ARTIST NAME] Spotlight on Amazon Music.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The feature is similar to rival streaming service Pandora\u2019s Artist Audio messages. Over 12 billion listener impressions have been generated by Artist Audio messages since 2015, <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/pandora-launches-track-reporting-insights-for-artists\/\">according to Pandora<\/a> \u2013 hopefully a similar positive impact is seen for artists over on Amazon Music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/routenote.com\">Want your music on Amazon Music, so you can join in the Spotlight fun?
