Even the famous <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/8-new-jazz-artists-for-2021\/\">jazz musicians <\/a>of today have been forced to pivot and find new ways to sustain their craft. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But, just as pockets of <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/top-2021-songs\/\">2021 <\/a>allowed for live music to return, 2022 is looking brighter. Jazz artists haven&#8217;t let the disrupted world stop them from collaborating in joyful and unexpected ways. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A highlight of 2021 was the release of Pharoah Sanders&#8217; incredible <em><a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/album\/4pDYkOvRt8GA6PxpVaHnLC?si=1jmDtyaNTEeCzagOF2r7rA\">Promises<\/a><\/em> album with electronic artist Floating Points and the London Symphony Orchestra. Meanwhile projects like <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/new-music-to-watch-out-for-in-2021\/\">Emma-Jean Thackray\u2019s <\/a>album <a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/album\/5DkIhSmABMcjjDh2TJ2Pu9?si=Nu-Dlg7SQ-SykyzAQJeQPw\"><em>Yellow<\/em> <\/a>celebrated the community and togetherness that often emerges from making or listening to jazz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are seven new jazz artists pushing boundaries in 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3>Jas Kayser<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:center\"> <iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"One From Jas Kayser\" width=\"720\" height=\"405\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/WmWMI9w0Bso?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drummer and composer <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/women-in-jazz-launch-new-digital-channel\/\">Jas Kayser<\/a>, who explores afrobeat and jazz, received the 2021 breakthrough Act of the Year award from Jazz FM.
