Previous winners included some of the biggest global superstars today such as <strong>Adele<\/strong>, <strong>Sam Smith<\/strong>, <strong>Ellie Goulding<\/strong>, <strong>HAIM<\/strong>, <strong>Years &amp; Years<\/strong>, <strong>Ray BLK<\/strong> and <strong>Sigrid<\/strong>. Artists are hand-picked by a panel of over 130 impartial music industry experts from around the world, including artists like <strong>Elton John<\/strong>, <strong>Billie Eilish<\/strong>, <strong>Ed Sheeran<\/strong>, <strong>Jade Thirlwall<\/strong> and <strong>Jorja Smith<\/strong>. The winner is to be announced on the 6th of January next year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>This year\u2019s Sound Of list will go down as one of the greats; a rich and diverse representation of genres, a great year for British and female artists, and I\u2019m delighted to report that all ten acts have had significant support from Radio 1, many of them as alumni of our own
