{"id":88728,"date":"2021-11-09T16:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-11-09T16:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/?p=88728"},"modified":"2021-11-09T15:35:12","modified_gmt":"2021-11-09T15:35:12","slug":"netease-cloud-music-and-emperor-entertainment-partner-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/netease-cloud-music-and-emperor-entertainment-partner-up\/","title":{"rendered":"NetEase Cloud Music and Emperor Entertainment partner up"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>Image Credit: <a href=\"https:\/\/pandaily.com\/\">Pandaily<\/a> <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><span style=\"color:#3366FF\"> Two giants of China\u2019s music industry have joined forces, looking to promote Chinese music to younger demographics.<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Streaming service <a href=\"http:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/how-to-get-my-music-onto-netease-music-for-free-and-make-money\/\">NetEase Cloud Music<\/a> has partnered with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.emperorgroup.com\/en\/our-business\/?id=entertainment-emperor-entertainment-group\">Emperor Entertainment<\/a> in what they&#8217;re referring to as a &#8220;strategic co-operation.&#8221; The focus will primarily be on promoting Chinese music, working together on performance and music copyright opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the agreement, <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/new-distribution-deal-sony-music-netease\/\">NetEase Cloud Music <\/a>has access to the copyright of all Emperor Entertainment artists, including popular artists such as Joey Yung and Nicholas Tse, giving a boost to contemporary genres like pop music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Music company Emperor Entertainment, based in the Asian-Pacific, has five music labels and works within publishing, management and concert production. <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/get-your-music-to-millions-of-listeners\/\">RouteNote <\/a>partner <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/is-netease-music-safe\/\">NetEase Cloud Music <\/a>meanwhile is one of the \u201cBig 3\u201d music companies in the China region with 183 million monthly active users and a library of 60 million songs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The two companies will now work together to &#8220;provide more high-quality music content for Chinese music lovers, and promote the vigorous development of Chinese music.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/netease-cloud-music-have-doubled-the-number-of-independent-artists-on-their-platform-in-one-year\/\">NetEase Cloud Music<\/a> is massively popular with the Gen Z demographic in China \u2013 90% of users are in the \u201cpost-2000\u201d and \u201cpost-1990\u201d generations.
