Music making platform BandLab continues to expand, adding ReverbNation to its interesting portfolio.<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

BandLab Technologies<\/a> is a Singaporean music company with the core goal of giving music makers access to fantastic free features<\/a>. The business has just expanded its collection of companies, which includes NME, MusicTech, CakeWalk<\/a>, and live streaming platform Chew<\/a>, by acquiring ReverbNation <\/a>from parent company eMinor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two companies didn\u2019t divulge specifics on exactly how ReverbNation will fit into BandLab <\/a>in the future, but the focus will be on artist services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mike Doernberg, CEO of eMinor, said: \u201cReverbNation has long been the standard for artist promotion and growth tools. We have known and admired the management team at BandLab <\/a>for some time and are excited about this extraordinary offering that will serve music makers in new and powerful ways.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ReverbNation has offered artist services and distribution <\/a>tools to artists since 2006. The features of BandLab\u2019s core music making product meanwhile are completely free to use, and the company says there are a total of 40 million creators making and sharing music using the platform. The focus is on education and inclusivity, with the easy-to-use free music production software<\/a> requiring no download.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meng Kuok, CEO of BandLab Technologies, said: \u201cWe have a clear vision of the role BandLab plays in supporting creators worldwide, today, and into the future. This acquisition allows us to accelerate BandLab\u2019s <\/a>product roadmap and further enable us to break down technical, geographic, and creative barriers facing musicians and fans.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here’s hoping BandLab keeps giving beginner musicians and producers <\/a>the chance to learn music production skills for free, no matter how large its range of assets grows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
