Could your music on Roblox bring you a host of new fans?<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Gaming platform Roblox has just launched Roblox Listening Parties, which are a brand new way for artists to integrate and promote their <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/get-your-music-to-millions-of-listeners\/\">music <\/a>on <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/why-you-need-to-start-taking-notice-of-the-potential-for-musicians-on-roblox\/\">Roblox<\/a>. Over the weekend singer Poppy became the first artist to get involved, hosting a Listening Party with her label Sumerian Records for new album <em>Flux<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unlike a Roblox concert where the artist is performing virtually in front of players, a Listening Party puts an artist\u2019s music in the background of <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/games-platform-roblox-raises-520m-funding-from-investors-including-warner-music-group\/\">Roblox <\/a>games. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Introducing Roblox Listening Parties: a chance for music fans to celebrate album drops with the artists themselves.<br><br>This Friday, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/poppy?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@Poppy<\/a> will be touring Roblox to celebrate the release of Flux! This put her album in front of a potentially huge audience \u2013 Roblox has over 50 million monthly active users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jill Pedone, Chief Strategy Officer at Sumerian Records, said: \u201cWe\u2019re always looking for new and innovative ways to help our artists break through the noise and reach fans where they already are. Poppy already has an existing fanbase on Roblox so it was a natural place for us to host her Listening Party.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What is Roblox, anyway? <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/make-beats-in-roblox-with-new-splash-music-maker\/\">Roblox <\/a>offers a combination of gaming and social media aimed at under 18s, but open to everyone. Friends gather as online versions of themselves, creating <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/facebook-buys-games-platform-crayta\/\">games <\/a>and playing against each other, or just hang out. It\u2019s free to play, although users can also buy Robux to spend on the platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the Listening Party, Poppy also joined in as a player herself, playing games whilst taking part in Q&amp;A sessions about the album and offering free virtual merch. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:center\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Roblox Interview w\/ Poppy!\" width=\"720\" height=\"405\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/9YieaUEs2fE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/roblox-being-sued\/\">Roblox <\/a>vice president and Global Head of Music&nbsp;Jon Vlassopulos&nbsp;said: &#8220;Allowing Poppy\u2019s fans to enjoy her new album&nbsp;<em>Flux<\/em>&nbsp;where they are already spending time with their friends seemed like a no-brainer, and our developers have jumped at the opportunity to participate.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For artists, Roblox is a unique space in which to promote your music. <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/roblox-books-royal-blood-for-virtual-half-time-show-at-2021-bloxy-awards\/\">Royal Blood <\/a>and Twenty One Pilots have performed concerts on the platform, and Lil Nas X\u2019s concert was watched 33 million times. Artists who are active across a lot of platforms and tuned into multimedia experiences are a natural fit for Roblox.
