A new report into US media consumption shows that Gen Z is driving music streaming forward, with nearly 60% saying they stream music daily.<\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The rise of music streaming is undoubtedly here<\/a>, as we\u2019ve reported in the past but the latest figures from a recent report detailing US media consumption gives us a real insight into the strength of streaming, particularly among Gen Z.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the report, nearly 60% say they stream music daily and for the first time ever more Americans are streaming video content than watching live TV.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The report didn\u2019t just cover Gen Z though, it detailed the listening habits and media consumption of Americans from Baby Boomer upwards. It revealed some very interesting statistics and is detailed below.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  5. Amazon Music<\/a> \u2013 7.6%<\/li>
  6. Google Play Music <\/a>\u2013 7.6%<\/li>
  7. Don\u2019t Stream \u2013 3.6%<\/strong><\/li>
  8. Other \u2013 1.3%<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          One thing that is clear from the article is Spotify\u2019s dominance within the music streaming world, even among older generations. However, the young generation uses their service the most, there is still room to grow among older generations.
