{"id":87548,"date":"2021-09-03T16:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-09-03T15:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/?p=87548"},"modified":"2021-12-07T10:59:02","modified_gmt":"2021-12-07T10:59:02","slug":"amazon-live-audio-app-with-music-focus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/amazon-live-audio-app-with-music-focus\/","title":{"rendered":"Amazon apparently getting into live audio, with a music focus"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>Image Credit: <a href=\"https:\/\/music.amazon.com\/\">Amazon Music<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><span style=\"color:#3366FF\">Just like Spotify, Amazon is reportedly looking to launch a live audio app similar to Clubhouse.<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The live audio race continues. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/amazon-live-audio-clubhouse-competitor-ea0ead59-f6d3-49a0-a216-a4105e0338ba.html\"><em>Axios <\/em>reports<\/a> that <a href=\"http:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/how-to-get-your-music-on-amazon-music-unlimited-for-free\/\">Amazon <\/a>is the latest tech giant to be in the process of building a live audio service, joining the ranks of similar apps like <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/what-is-the-new-exclusive-clubhouse-app\/\">Clubhouse<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Live audio platforms broadcast audio-only livestreams of conversations often in virtual \u201crooms\u201d where nominated speakers broadcast to muted listeners. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/amazon-live-audio-clubhouse-competitor-ea0ead59-f6d3-49a0-a216-a4105e0338ba.html\">According to <em>Axios<\/em><\/a>, Amazon\u2019s version would differ slightly. The feature would be be focused on music, based around the <a href=\"http:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/how-to-see-your-musics-analytics-and-trends-in-real-time-on-amazon-music-for-artists\/\">Amazon Music<\/a> streaming service, and integrated with the <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/alexa-in-your-car\/\">Alexa <\/a>voice assistant devices. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Any plans are still in the rumour stage. Musicians could reportedly put out live concerts and events in collaboration with a <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/how-to-get-your-music-discovered-by-a-major-record-label-in-2021\/\">major record label<\/a>, and celebrities would host live conversations on the service. As well as music, radio programs and podcasts are also being considered, merging well with the <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/the-best-home-smart-speakers-at-every-price-point-in-2021-amazon-alexa-google-assistant-and-apple-siri-enabled\/\">Alexa <\/a>system. Amazon-owned Twitch is also rumoured to be getting a live audio feature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Amazon has yet to confirm the leak. If accurate, the company will square up to rivals<a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/spotify-launch-greenroom\/\"> Spotify Greenroom<\/a>, Facebook\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/facebook-live-audio-rooms-us-launch\/\">Live Audio Rooms<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/twitter-launches-super-follows-and-ticketed-spaces\/\">Twitter Spaces<\/a>, as well as facing off with the original platform that sparked the live audio craze, <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/does-anyone-still-use-clubhouse\/\">Clubhouse<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Amazon\u2019s effort is likely to be more similar to <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/how-to-put-any-song-on-spotify\/\">Spotify <\/a>Greenroom than the <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/clubhouse-is-no-longer-invite-only-anyone-can-sign-up-today-on-ios-or-android\/\">Clubhouse <\/a>rivals launched by <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/10-top-tips-for-musicians-using-social-media-2021\/\">social media<\/a> platforms. <em>Axios <\/em>speculate that the focus is more likely to be on a radio tool for livestreaming performances rather than sparking conversations between strangers on the internet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sounds like a good way to sell Alexa devices, huh?
