Companies such as <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/facebook-video-content\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Facebook<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/how-to-add-music-to-snapchat-stories-and-messages\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Snap<\/a> have already offered something similar to their users, allowing them to create features and experiences for their respective family of apps. Soon <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/how-to-license-your-music-on-tiktok\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TikTok<\/a> users will be able to build their own AR effects for the short-form video app.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/audius-chosen-as-tiktoks-first-music-streaming-partner\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TikTok<\/a> is currently beta testing what they\u2019re calling the Effect Studio with developers signing up for early access via their <a href=\"https:\/\/effecthouse.tiktok.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u2018Effect House\u2019<\/a> website.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When applying developers are asked to fill out their name, email, <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/tiktok-testing-stories-functionality\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TikTok<\/a> account info, company, and level of experience with building AR, as well as examples of their previous work. In addition to this, the website also asks if they\u2019re using a Mac or PC, likely so they can gauge which desktop platform to prioritize.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/get-your-music-out-on-tiktok\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TikTok<\/a> Effect Studio is still very much in its early days and only being tested in a few select markets, one of them being the US. There are currently no dates or time frames available to as when the tools will become widely available.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/tiktok-new-features-for-live\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TikTok<\/a> relies on third-party developers who want to integrate more closely with <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/artist-discovery-tiktok\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TikTok<\/a> in their own apps, as opposed to having the tools readily available via their own service. However, competitors <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/facebook-share-to-stories\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Facebook<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/snapchat-expands-music-library-with-new-universal-music-deal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Snap<\/a> have both invested heavily into in-house AR tools.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking to TechCrunch a <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/tiktok-3-billion-downloads\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TikTok<\/a> spokesperson said: \u201cWe\u2019re always thinking about new ways to bring value to our community and enrich the TikTok experience.\u201d Adding: \u201cCurrently, we\u2019re experimenting with ways to give creators additional tools to bring their creative ideas to life for the TikTok community.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TikTok is currently beta testing their own AR development platform called TikTok Effect Studio.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":23,"featured_media":87426,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[13,1,11109],"tags":[10402,27124,28625,28,7624,7472,10264,28624,28623,11406,27880,19584,11724],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v18.4.1 -
