It&#8217;s no wonder 25 billion businesses are reaching customers through Instagram. You can turn any post into an advert to be displayed in followers&#8217; and new users&#8217; feeds and Stories, depending on where it&#8217;s performing best. It&#8217;s super easy to create an ad, and Instagram provides all of the tools you need to customize the look and cost. First of all, <a style=\"user-select: auto;\" href=\"https:\/\/business.instagram.com\/getting-started\">you need to convert your account to a business profile.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For new posts, toggle the <strong>Create a Promotion<\/strong> option before sharing the post. For existing posts, go to your profile, tap the post, then tap <strong>Create Ad<\/strong> below the post and follow the steps below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li><strong style=\"user-select: auto;\">Select a goal<\/strong> &#8211; choose whether you&#8217;re after <strong style=\"user-select: auto;\">more profile visits<\/strong>, <strong style=\"user-select: auto;\">more messages<\/strong> or <strong style=\"user-select: auto;\">more website visits<\/strong> (this adds an action button, so users can quickly access a link).<\/li><li><strong style=\"user-select: auto;\">Define your audience<\/strong> &#8211; select either <strong style=\"user-select: auto;\">Automatic<\/strong> to let Instagram target people similar to those you follow, or <strong style=\"user-select: auto;\">Create your own<\/strong> to manually choose who to target based on location, age, interests and gender.<\/li><li><strong style=\"user-select: auto;\">Budget and duration<\/strong> &#8211; use the two sliders to pick how much you&#8217;re willing to spend over how many days. This will give you a total cost and an estimated number of people your post will reach based on the sliders.<\/li><li><strong style=\"user-select: auto;\">Review your ad<\/strong> &#8211; Finally preview and pay for your ad.
