Not altogether clear what \u201cmasters\u201d have to do with music in the first place? As soon as its in a format that can be reproduced, it&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/protect-your-music-a-guide-for-artists-on-copyright\/\">copyrighted<\/a>, and you can claim ownership of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you own your masters, you have total legal control over what is done with the recording \u2013 and any financial gains from it, too.
