The popular Spotify Singles program comes to India with DJ Snake remixing Dhee\u2019s \u201cEnjoy Enjaami.\u201d<\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Spotify<\/a> has brought its Spotify Singles program to India, with French<\/a> producer DJ Snake remixing Sri Lankan singer Dhee\u2019s track \u201cEnjoy Enjaami.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spotify Singles<\/a> lets artists of all sizes of fanbase record a cover of someone else\u2019s track of their choice, and gives them the chance to release a new version of one of their own songs. It\u2019s an international affair, and \u201cEnjoy Enjaami\u201d is the first single to feature an artist from India.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Head of global music programs at Spotify<\/a> Andy Sloan-Vincent said: \u201cSpotify Singles have been a powerful medium to foster creativity and collaboration, resulting in a catalogue of unique soundtracks for our listeners from around the world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We are thrilled to announce our first Single from India<\/a> with DJ Snake, one of the biggest global music icons, and Dhee, who has such a powerful voice. Music is borderless and through such collaborations, we want listeners to experience different cultures.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DJ Snake\u2019s remix reimagines Dhee\u2019s smash hit Tamil<\/a>-language song with EDM<\/a> beats. The original \u201cEnjoy Enjaami\u201d featured Dhee alongside The Casteless Collective\u2019s Arivu and composer Santhosh Narayanan. Released in March on composer A.R. Rahman\u2019s maajja platform, the song has over 15 million streams on Spotify<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In May 2021 it was announced that Spotify Singles<\/a> have now been streamed a total of 5 billion times. Some of the most popular Singles so far have included Benjamin Ingrosso covering Lionel Richie\u2019s \u201cAll Night Long\u201d<\/a>, and Harry Styles performing  \u201cGirl Crush.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
