The iconic riff was crafted by Zeppelins guitarist Jimmy Page and set loose on the world in 1969, the same year mankind put a man on the moon. Making it humanity&#8217;s second greatest achievement of the time.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018Whole Lotta Love\u2019 beats Ozzy Osbourne\u2019s classic \u2018Crazy Train\u2019 and <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/legendary-rock-outfit-ac-dc-hit-number-one-with-new-album-power-up\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AC\/DC<\/a>\u2019s \u2018Back in Black\u2019. The track was released on Led Zeppelin&#8217;s second album, ably named <a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/album\/58MQ0PLijVHePUonQlK76Y?si=1pWbBbYVRV2XnlvKkowpiA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Led Zeppelin II<\/a>. It was an impactful album that boasted the band&#8217;s natural ability to craft their own path and solidified them as one of the world&#8217;s rock n roll behemoths.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other songs that were nominated was Deep Purples classic \u2018Smoke On The Water\u2019, Van Halen\u2019s \u2018Aint Talkin\u2019 \u2018Bout Love\u2019, Metallica\u2019s \u2018Enter Sandman\u2019, Black Sabbath\u2019s \u2018Iron Man\u2019, Pantera\u2019s \u2018Walk\u2019, ZZ Top\u2019s \u2018La Grange\u2019, and Jimi Hendrix\u2019s \u2018Purple Haze\u2019.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Led Zeppelin&#8217;s music has remained one of the most influential rock bands to have ever existed as the decades have passed by.
