{"id":85592,"date":"2021-05-25T15:01:16","date_gmt":"2021-05-25T14:01:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/?p=85592"},"modified":"2021-05-25T15:01:16","modified_gmt":"2021-05-25T14:01:16","slug":"rockstar-games-launches-record-label","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/rockstar-games-launches-record-label\/","title":{"rendered":"Rockstar Games launches record label In partnership with CircoLoco"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>Image credit: Rockstar Games\/CircoLoco Records<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4><span style=\"color: #3366FF\">Dance music promoters CircoLoco and Rockstar Games have teamed up to launch the new record label called CircoLoco Records.<\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rockstargames.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Rockstar Games<\/a> which is responsible for the popular Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption series has teamed up with the iconic techno brand\/promotors <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/circolocoibiza\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CircoLoco<\/a> to create a record label, called <a href=\"https:\/\/circolocorecords.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CircoLoco Records.<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The announcement was revealed via a short clip that premiered on CircoLoco\u2019s YouTube channel which brilliantly mixed real-life footage from CircoLoco\u2019s party nights with digital audiences in GTA Online.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Watch the announcement trailer here:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Introducing CircoLoco Records\" width=\"720\" height=\"405\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/n_a0smOEjXo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>CircoLoco has been entertaining audiences in Ibiza for 20 years and is known for its no-frills, music-focused party nights. Since their beginning they have grown into a techno lifestyle brand, collaborating with visual artists and fashion brands such as Off White.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rockstar Games have long been supporters of music within their games, especially in their GTA series. Each GTA game has a radio that players will listen to whilst driving that features a variety of guests, such as Frank Ocean and Tyler, The Creator. Not to mention artists creating music exclusively for the in-game radio, such as the aforementioned Tyler, The Creator, and Danny Brown. In addition to this, GTA Online has also added an expansion that gave its players a chance to party at a digital nightclub.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking on the partnership Rockstar Games founder, Sam Houser said: \u201cMusic is fundamental to Rockstar Games \u2013 it\u2019s part of everything we do.\u201d Adding: &nbsp;\u201cPartnering with our friends at CircoLoco is part of our ongoing efforts to find new ways to bring the very best underground music to the widest audience possible.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The label&#8217;s first release \u2018Monday Dreamin\u2019 EP will be available digitally on June 4th, featuring music from iconic house artists such as Seth Troxler and Rampa.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is an exciting development for gamers and music fans alike and with the heavy use of music in their games, surprising this hasn\u2019t happened sooner.
