Mario Maggi, creator of renowned classic Elka Synthex, has unveiled his latest project the Synthex 2 is in the works.<\/p>\n

Maggi says this a modern update of the Synthex and is not related to the recent Elka Synthex revival, which failed to come to fruition after it’s crowdfunding campaign failed to reach its funding target.<\/p>\n

On the Synthex website<\/a> Mario Maggi was quoted as saying:<\/p>\n

The SYNTHEX 2 is not a clone of the original but a totally new design using the latest technologies. Now, after more than ten years of work I finally have all the pieces of the mosaic.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Synthex 2 will come in 4 different versions: A 61 note-keyboard, Keyboard-less tabletop, 1 rack unit expander and portable expander.<\/p>\n

The Synthex 2 will feature a freely assignable bipolar XY axis, a 5 inch LCD color display for advanced editing of control panel and additional paramaters, whole mode with 16 voice polyphony, 2 oscillators per voice and much more. You can see all the details here<\/a>.<\/p>\n
