A petition was started on change.org and after firstly defending the name<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/gearlslutz-changes-name\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">founder Jules Standen then announced that a name change would be on the way.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, Jules has announced that moving forward Gearslutz will now be called Gearspace. Talking about the name change Standen says that the new name will be \u201cbetter suited to professional environments and the audio education world.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Standen also states, \u201cWe\u2019re certain our new name, Gearspace, will stand the test of time and provide a more all-encompassing platform for the pro audio industry. The change will affect the forum\u2019s name, logo and URL. Gearspace will continue to offer the same audio-focused content and will strive to be the best online community possible for people of all genders and cultures.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The site also has a new URL, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gearspace.com\">www.gearspace.com<\/a> and all existing bookmarks will continue to work.
