It seems now the two have met in the middle as Elon creates a techno track about NFT\u2019s (Non-Fungible Tokens).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Musk recently tweeted that he is \u201cselling this song about NFTs as an NFT.\u201d The tweet was accompanied by a two-minute video featuring the NFT-themed techno track.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The music plays whilst a digital NFT-themed trophy, which features nods to cryptocurrency and the memes surrounding it, revolves in space. Sitting at the top of the trophy is a moon, a reference to the common crypto meme that references the currency \u201cgoing to the moon\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:8px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I\u2019m selling this song about NFTs as an NFT <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/B4EZLlesPx\">pic.twitter.com\/B4EZLlesPx<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Elon Musk (@elonmusk) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/elonmusk\/status\/1371549960030842893?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 15, 2021<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:8px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>It also features the acronym \u201cHODL\u201d, a common shorthand in the crypto community that stands for \u201chold on for dear life\u201d. In addition to this, several golden dog figurines decorate the middle of the trophy,  which likely to be a reference to the growing cryptocurrency Dogecoin.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Musk is the latest person to take an interest in NFTs, a blockchain-based token system that has been rising in popularity with musicians and artists. In fact, recently <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/kings-of-leon-offer-new-album-as-an-nft-in-music-industry-first\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Kings of Leon released their latest album this way and declared it the future.<\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An NFT is essentially a digital deed that grants the buyer ownership of a particular file, such as a song, photo, or video, recently an NFT was sold for a staggering $69 million.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s unclear if Musk is being serious or playing yet another joke with the masses, something he does regularly.
