The platform aims to celebrate Black voices and stories that have added innovation to YouTube and across the world.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First up, <a href=\"http:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/get-channel-verified-youtube\/\">YouTube<\/a> commissioned Black artist Leandro Assis to reimagine the YouTube logo and produce artwork to feature on its homepage in the US.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Celebrating Black Creativity with Guest Artist Leandro Assis\" width=\"720\" height=\"405\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/tYO8a0I6lX8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Hailing from Rio de Janeiro, <a href=\"https:\/\/lebassis.com\/\">Leandro Assis <\/a>is an artist, letterer and art director famous for his bold designs and eye-catching lettering. His work includes promo for RuPaul&#8217;s Drag Race. Asked about the inspiration for the YouTube logo design, he said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>What inspired me to create this piece were the Black people around me.
