Concord has entered into a long-term, exclusive joint venture with Easy Eye Sound, the label started by Auerbach in 2017.<\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The new worldwide partnership will see Concord<\/a> release all the new recordings made for Easy Eye Sound<\/a>, as well as distributing all catalog albums that have reverted or will revert to the label during the venture. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The label was founded in 2017 and named after Dan\u2019s recording studio, the label runs out of Nashville, Tennessee and is home to a wide variety of artists, including Shannon and the Clams<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since its start the label has released over 20 albums, earning seven Grammy nominations, including four for Yola<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s debut hit \u2018Walk Through Fire\u2019<\/a><\/em><\/strong> and one for Bentonia bluesman Jimmy \u201cDuck\u201d Holmes<\/a><\/strong> album \u2018Cypress Grove\u2019<\/em><\/strong>.<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Auerbach is a an eight-time grammy winner himself and has also earned two Producer of the Year nominations<\/a> in the last two years, one of them for producing, co-writing and performing on Marcus King<\/a><\/strong>\u2019s Grammy-nominated \u2018El Dorado\u2019<\/a> <\/em><\/strong>(Fantasy Records<\/a>) and a songwriting acknowledgement on Yola<\/strong>\u2019s debut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The partnership won\u2019t affect Easy Eye\u2019s day to day and branding will remain the same. Both parties expect to release 12 albums in 2021. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking on the venture Auerbach said: \u201cWhen I founded Easy Eye Sound a decade ago, it was meant as home base for my musical vision and as a way to discover and support artists I believe in.\u201d He continues, \u201cIt\u2019s exciting to see the record label and recording studio evolve and begin a worldwide partnership with the fine folks at Concord.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Talking on his excitement, Concord’s Chief Label Executive said: \u201cDan\u2019s passion runs through Easy Eye\u2019s in-house songwriting, production and the overall cohesive vision of the label. He brings a stellar roster and a committed staff under the leadership of Tom Osborn.\u201d Adding that, <\/p>\n\n\n\n
