Savvy DJs and <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/alson-spoke-to-us-about-trap-nation-picking-up-his-music-and-being-a-producer-in-lockdown\/\">producers<\/a> have instead been using the temporary hiatus to lay down new tracks and explore new directions for the future. Take a glance at these eight artists to watch in <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/all-the-greatest-underground-dance-music-in-one-place\/\">dance and electronic music<\/a> for 2021. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4>Kareem Ali<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Kareem Ali - Night Shift Noir\" width=\"720\" height=\"405\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/oD8IHvq9nrI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Relentlessly creative, Ali put out six albums in 2020 alone. A trumpet player who studied <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/8-new-jazz-artists-for-2021\/\">jazz<\/a> in New York, his creations combine deep house with techno and jazz, with strong elements of political commentary, Afrofuturism and beyond.
