Starting with the Google Nest Mini at $49 <a href=\"https:\/\/store.google.com\/product\/google_nest_mini\" style=\"user-select: auto;\">(currently on sale for just $29)<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/store.google.com\/product\/nest_audio\" style=\"user-select: auto;\">Nest Audio &#8211; $99.99<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/store.google.com\/product\/google_home_max_speaker\" style=\"user-select: auto;\">Google Home Max &#8211; $399<\/a> (at launch), as well as smart displays including the <a href=\"https:\/\/store.google.com\/product\/google_nest_hub\" style=\"user-select: auto;\">Nest Hub for $89.99<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/store.google.com\/product\/google_nest_hub_max\" style=\"user-select: auto;\">Nest Hub Max &#8211; $229<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Google launched the Google Home Max in December 2017 for $399, pricing themselves up with the likes of Sonos Play:5. Google discontinuing the big smart speaker could mean one of two things, either Google are looking to update the three year old speaker, like they recently did with the Google Home (now <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/google-announce-their-new-99-nest-home-smart-speaker\/\" style=\"user-select: auto;\">Nest Audio<\/a>), or they&#8217;re trying to push buyers who want bigger sound towards smart displays such as the Nest Hub Max.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regarding current Google Home Max owners, a spokesperson said to The Verge, Google plan to support the product with updates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>Existing Google Home Max users shouldn\u2019t worry as they won\u2019t see any change in their service. We\u2019ll continue to offer software updates and security fixes to Google Home Max devices.
