Whether it be Rock Band or Guitar Hero, the world of plastic instrument based games has been fairly quiet for the last five years.<\/p>\n

After 275 weeks between 2007 and 2013, Harmonix announced in April 2013 it would cease the weekly releases of downloadable content to focus on other projects. Since then the Rock Band store has been silent, until yesterday. 21 months since the last release, Rock Band (seemingly out of nowhere) released three brand new playable tracks for Rock Band 1, 2 and 3 for the Xbox 360 and PS3.<\/p>\n
