\nWhen it came to recording for me, the college gives students full access to all the studios equipment, including a high-end Mac Pro capable of recording multiple tracks at once, effects racks, instruments and amps, a range of microphones suitable for any instruments, sound isolated rooms, headphones that have close to no leak, and studio monitors.<\/p>\n

This gives users the chance to gain full knowledge of equipment used in professional studios, however this equipment is not essential to produce a high quality track.
\nIf recording on a budget and you don’t have free access to a studio, many cheap options are available that can give you similar outcomes. All that’s needed to get starting in the world of music recording is a laptop with a DAW (digital audio workstation) and a cheap USB microphone.
\nWith the right close mic-ing techniques and mixing skills, a high-end recording can be made from cheap gear.
