Apple Music subscribers with Google-Assistant smart speakers or displays in the U.S., U.K., France, Germany and Japan can now set the streaming service as their default.<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Two of the most powerful tech companies in the world, Google and Apple have set aside their differences to increase your music playing options on Google-Assistant enabled smart speakers. This means you can now set Apple Music as your default streaming service on Nest Audio<\/a>, Nest Hub Max, Nest Mini or any other Google-Assistant enabled speakers or smart displays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Simply link your Apple Music account in the Google Home app, then you can set it as your default music streaming service. Subscribers get access to Apple Music’s industry leading 70 million+ songs, ad-free.<\/a> Simply ask for any song, artist or playlist with commands such as \u201cHey Google, play New Music Daily playlist\u201d, or music based on a genre, mood, activity or your liked songs: \u201cHey Google, play my songs\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Use multi-room on the app or a smart display to share Apple Music to different speakers around the house<\/a> or simply say “Hey Google, play music on all my speakers.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With one of the largest selections of music on any streaming platform, this may entice Google Play Music subscribers not wanting to make the transition to YouTube Music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
