The high profile artists who will play the indie venues (five have been announced already with more to come) were selected based upon the recently released annual <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/2020-wrapped-spotifys-most-popular\/\">Spotify wrapped campaign.&nbsp;<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kicking the performances off will be <a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/artist\/3DiDSECUqqY1AuBP8qtaIa?si=WRKP6XCjRfGoBLUM6zKzhQ\">Alicia Keys<\/a> at Milwaukee\u2019s River Side Theatre. <a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/artist\/1HY2Jd0NmPuamShAr6KMms?si=5dMAGsXBSHuKu4v3GJ6Q-Q\">Lady Gaga<\/a> has committed to playing The Ritz Ybor in Tampa and <a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/artist\/73sIBHcqh3Z3NyqHKZ7FOL?si=cABiw6twQc-RgyqSLXY0uQ\">Childish Gambino<\/a> will headline a show at Portland\u2019s The Aladdin. <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/youtube-musics-songs-of-summer-2020\/\">The Weeknd<\/a> (who was supposedly snubbed by the a recent awards ceremony) has been booked for Asheville, North Carolina\u2019s The Orange Peel. In addition to this the U.K artist <a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/artist\/5Mq7iqCWBzofK39FBqblNc?si=LM-FAlWMSLy31twPEQ2cpg\">Jessie Ware<\/a> will be performing at Atlanta\u2019s Center Stage.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The partnership between NIVA and <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/can-i-upload-my-music-to-spotify-yes-and-its-free\/\">Spotify<\/a> arrives as lockdown restrictions intensify in the United States and across the globe. Live nation revealed last month that they suffered a 95% year-over-year falloff in third-quarter earnings. Late October saw <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nivassoc.org\/\">NIVA<\/a> partner up with <a href=\"http:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/join-routenotes-youtube-network\/\">YouTube<\/a> for a <i>\u201cSave Our Stages\u201d <\/i>virtual festival, raising $1.8 million for struggling venues.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No doubt these gigs will bring much needed revenue to struggling venues, which without the world will feel a massive cultural impact.
