You no longer need to create speaker groups to control music and podcasts throughout the house. Start streaming audio to multiple speakers with a tap.<\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Prior to the new update, multi-room audio was possible via grouped speakers in the Google Home app. Multi-room control makes playing music or podcasts on various speakers at the same time easy. Multi-room control is available on speakers, Smart Displays and Chromecasts via audio apps such as YouTube Music, Spotify, Pandora and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you have more than one supported Google Assistant device, tap the icon in the bottom left corner of the screen while playing audio, then simply tick the boxes of the speakers you’d like to add.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The update roll out has started today on all Nest Hub, Nest Hub Max and other compatible Assistant-enabled Smart Displays. The Google Home app will see the update later this fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
