Whether you’re on a mobile device or streaming on your computer, if you find your Spotify app keeps crashing then these fixes should get you back up and streaming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Check for app updates <\/h5>\n\n\n\n

If your software is out of date it can cause you a bunch of issues and a simple update often resolves many people’s problems. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you’re on a mobile device, head to your app store where it will tell you if an update is available. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you’re on your computer then a blue dot should appear next to the menu button in the top right of the app. Click that and then select Update Available. Restart Now.<\/strong> and Spotify will do that for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Log out, restart the app, and log back in<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

A slight variant on the classic ‘turn in it off and on again<\/a>‘. It’s a cliche because it often helps! Make sure you know your login details so you can easily get back on to the app. C<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Uninstall and reinstall the app<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

If the above doesn’t help then go one step further and uninstall the app and then reinstall it. Sometimes your app just needs to rebuild itself from scratch if there’s an issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You may need to do a full, ‘clean’ reinstall of your Spotify app which there is a guide for here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clear your app’s cache<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

On your mobile devices you should be able to find your Spotify app within your device’s settings, probably under a tab called ‘Apps’. Once you’ve found Spotify you should select it and it should open up the data and settings for that app alone. There will be an option there to see how much cached data the app has and there should be a button to clear it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This shouldn’t be an issue on your computer but if you want to try there is a guide here<\/a> for clearing your computer cache.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If none of this helps then there is a more specific problem at work. It’s worth looking for help by searching exactly what your issue is on Google or even better on Spotify’s forums<\/strong>.
