CloudBounce is an automated audio mastering service online. Upload your mixed track, tell CloudBounce what genre it is and hear your mastered song in seconds. Is automated mastering going to save you hours of editing\/paying for an engineer?<\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n

CloudBounce analyzes your music and intelligently applies audio processing tools such as compressor, EQ, limiter and stereo imaging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All of the examples given on the CloudBounce site and promo videos show off their mastering software, however take a closer look and you’ll see the main difference comes from an increase in loudness. Increasing the volume of the mastered file is an unfair comparison. Humans will naturally perceive the louder audio file as the ‘better sounding one’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Is it worth it? CloudBounce provide lo-res MP3 previews of your mastered tracks for free. This is a great way to test the service before parting with your money. Its value can only determined on a track by track basis. If your tracks are mixed well, you may not benefit from such a service, but giving you the preview allows you to evaluate whether it works for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    CloudBounce will never replace a mastering engineer, but the service doesn’t claim to. If you have the time, I recommend learning to master yourself. There are a ton of free resources online and this will allow you to fully tailor your final output to your style. Once you’re satisfied with your own master, compare it to CloudBounces. Take note of what you prefer with theirs and attempt to replicate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
