Copyright is what legally protects your work from being stolen. So how do I copyright my work to keep it safe?<\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n<p>In the US and Canada, from the moment you create anything, be it a song, book, video, photograph, etc. it is immediately protected by copyright. For this reason, you can legally and safely distribute music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Should you require a more secure written contract protecting your work, you can register it via <a style=\"user-select: auto;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.copyright.gov\/\">the US copyright office<\/a>, or equivalent in your country.
