Summer 2019 may be over already but Spotify are keeping the sunny times alive with the most popular songs lining people’s playlists this year.<\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n

We can’t believe it either. Summer has been and gone already. Autumn 2019 is upon us and it’s not long until it 2020 will be knocking at our door. But we can go back and relive the Summer with Spotify in tow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They’ve taken a look back at the music that listeners have been streaming around the world this Summer and compiled a list of the definitive music for Summer 2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most streamed song this Summer on Spotify was the collaboration between Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello. Their track ‘Se\u00f1orita’ was streamed 565 million times around the world since it was released in June. It peaked at the top of Spotify’s Global Top 50 chart for 8 whole weeks!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second most streamed song was also a collab track – it’s almost like 2 massive pop stars working together create’s an automatic hit! This Summer hit comes from Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber’s joint effort ‘I Don’t Care. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She had to be in the top somewhere, and Billie Eilish definitely felt the love from listeners around the world this year. Her album did incredibly well but her track ‘bad guy’ was the runaway hit that made it to 3rd in the list of most streamed songs on Spotify this Summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That was looking at streams worldwide, but if you look at what just the US was listening to then Summer sounded a little different in the States. Rapper Lil Tecca took the number one spot there after his track ‘Ransom’ shot up the charts. That track alone has grown his audience from 12 million followers on Spotify to over 19 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
