Apple\u2019s purchase of classical app <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/apple-purchases-primephonic\/\">Primephonic<\/a> prompted initial speculation about the launch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"571\" height=\"493\" src=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/apple-music-app-for-classical-music.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-95244 lazyload\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Featuring the largest catalogue of classical music online (according to Apple), the Apple Music Classical app is designed to tackle the discoverability issues often associated with classical music on streaming platforms due to the numerous recordings available of a single classical work, with complicated metadata such as different conductors, performance dates, and orchestras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<a name=\"basic\"><\/a>\n\n\n\n<p>Apple Music <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/apple-musics-price-rise-to-10-99-month\/\">raised its subscription prices in October 2022<\/a>, with Individual rising from the original price of $9.99, Family from $14.99, and Individual Annual from $99. &nbsp;It was the first time subscription fees had risen. Apple said the rise in subscription fees was due to a rise in licensing costs and would lead to artists being paid more for streaming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/apple-music-launched-in-52-new-countries-today\/\">Apple Music is available in 167 countries,<\/a> with wide availability in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Oceania, while they continue to expand into <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/africa-rising-new-apple-music-playlist-showcasing-the-best-new-talent-from-africa-bi-monthly\/\">Africa<\/a> and the Middle East.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-default\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4>Basic features<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Apple Music is a premium-only, ad-free service, meaning there is no ad-supported free tier, as some other streaming services offer.
