Announced on the 21st of October, the rebrand was developed with British producer Fred again.. and audio collaborators NEST Acoustics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The announcement follows the appearance of a redesigned Apple Music logo and app icon in software updates earlier this month. Now, Apple has shared a behind-the-scenes video explaining how it brought the new visual identity to life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Apple Music. By placing Apple Music\u2019s branding behind the vibrating liquid and filming the resulting movements, the team captured ripples and distortions that became the basis of the new look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/tech\/1015533\/apple-music-new-logo\">The Verge<\/a> reports, the project combines the redesigned branding with a new sound composed by Fred again.. and NEST Acoustics. Apple describes the identity as \u201cmade by sound\u201d, turning music into something that can be seen as well as heard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The result is a fluid, liquid-inspired visual style that gives the familiar music-note symbol a fresh appearance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3>What\u2019s changed in the new Apple Music logo?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The updated identity replaces Apple Music\u2019s established red colour scheme with black and white, while introducing a redesigned app icon and wordmark. The wordmark uses a bolder, lowercase style, giving the branding a more contemporary feel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new look also fits with Apple\u2019s wider Liquid Glass design direction, introduced across its software in 2025. The aesthetic uses translucent, glass-like visual elements, making the liquid-inspired branding a natural fit for the company\u2019s broader design language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.macrumors.com\/2026\/10\/21\/apple-music-new-look-announced\/\">MacRumors<\/a>, the rebrand is set to roll out alongside Apple\u2019s upcoming software releases, including iOS 27.2 and macOS 27.2.
