Ticketmaster has refreshed its mobile app with personalised recommendations, a new Watchlist and improved tools for following artists and discovering live music.<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Ticketmaster has given its mobile app a major refresh<\/a>, putting personalised live music discovery at the centre of the experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new app is rolling out across 21 global markets on iOS and Android, with wider access coming soon. Ticketmaster says the update is designed to help fans discover events that match their interests, follow their favourite artists and keep track of shows they don’t want to miss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For artists, it’s another example of the growing focus on connecting music discovery with live events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What’s new in the Ticketmaster app?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The biggest change is a redesigned Home screen. Instead of simply browsing through upcoming events, fans will now see personalised sections including For You, Trending and Last Minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recommendations are based on a user’s interests and location, while the app will also surface just-announced shows and other curated events. Fans can switch their location too, making it easier to see what’s happening when travelling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ticketmaster has also introduced a new Watchlist. Fans can save individual events and keep track of them in one place, receiving updates about things such as presales, ticket sales, ticket availability and upcoming event reminders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The existing Favorites feature has also been upgraded. Fans can follow artists, performers and venues, with those choices helping Ticketmaster tailor recommendations across the app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There’s also an improved search experience, easier location switching, alongside visual changes including Dark Mode and enhanced display controls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why is Ticketmaster focusing on discovery?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Ticketmaster says the update is partly designed to address a simple problem: fans can’t attend a show if they don’t know it’s happening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Ticketmaster<\/a>, around 40% of fans say they didn’t attend an event because they didn’t know it was happening. Global President Saumil Mehta said this insight, alongside feedback from fans, helped shape the new app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s a shift from ticketing being something fans use after deciding to attend towards ticketing platforms becoming part of the discovery process itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Live music discovery is becoming more connected<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Ticketmaster’s update follows a wider push to bring concert discovery closer to where fans are already finding music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier this year, Amazon Music<\/a> partnered with Bandsintown<\/a> to display concert listings directly on artist profiles. That means fans can move from listening to an artist to discovering their upcoming shows without having to leave the platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ticketmaster has also been expanding the places where fans can discover live events. Last month, the company brought live event discovery into Gemini<\/a>, showing how ticket discovery is spreading beyond traditional ticketing websites and apps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
