Here\u2019s what the update means for artists.<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/can-i-add-my-music-to-tiktok-for-free\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TikTok <\/a>is giving its comment section a serious upgrade. The platform has <a href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.tiktok.com\/say-more-in-the-comments?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">announced<\/a> four new ways for users to interact with videos, including voice comments, polls, photo carousels and Live Photo comments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The update could be particularly useful for musicians and creators, giving them more ways to start conversations with their audience rather than simply asking viewers to like or comment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>TikTok adds four new comment features<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4>Voice Comments<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>TikTok\u2019s biggest new addition is Voice Comments, allowing users to record audio messages of up to 60 seconds directly in the comment section. Users simply tap the microphone icon, record their message and post it for others to listen to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>TikTok says Voice Comments are rolling out globally over the next month to users aged 18 and over. The feature will also be subject to TikTok\u2019s Community Guidelines, with the platform using automated and human moderation tools to monitor audio comments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4>Comment Polls<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Creators can also now use Comment Polls on their own videos. Polls allow up to five options and can run for a set period, with results visible directly in the comments. Photo Carousel Comments let users add up to nine photos in one comment, while Live Photo Comments add a brief burst of motion to a photo.
