Here\u2019s what the latest changes mean for YouTube users, artists and the wider streaming industry.<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>YouTube Premium is getting more expensive for subscribers in a growing number of countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following a price increase in the US earlier this year, Google is now raising YouTube Premium prices across several international markets.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The latest changes are another sign of the rising cost of streaming subscriptions, with platforms looking for new ways to grow revenue while continuing to invest in their services and creator ecosystems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>YouTube Premium prices are increasing worldwide<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5google.com\/2026\/08\/21\/youtube-premium-price-hike-europe-other-regions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">9to5Google<\/a>, Google has confirmed price increases for YouTube Premium subscribers in several international markets. The increases vary by region, but appear to be around 10\u201315% in many of the affected countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some of the increases reported so far include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Parts of Europe: \u20ac13.99 \u2192 \u20ac15.99<\/li><li>Finland: \u20ac14.99 \u2192 \u20ac16.99<\/li><li>Romania: RON 29 \u2192 RON 32<\/li><li>Singapore: $13.98 \u2192 $15.98<\/li><li>Singapore Family: $27.98 \u2192 $31.98<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Affected subscribers will see the new price applied from their next billing date on or after 23 September 2026. YouTube says users should be notified about price increases by email before they take effect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not every country has been confirmed as affected yet, so the exact change will depend on where you subscribe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>YouTube Premium already got more expensive in the US<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The international increases follow a price hike in the US <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/youtube-premium-price-increase-us-2026\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">earlier this year<\/a>.
