Our model is black, but they also come in blue and white. They fit securly in my ears, but for me, the in-ear tip starts to get a little uncomfortable after long listening sessions, hence why I personally use the non-pro AirPods. Your mileage on comfort may vary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-2 is-cropped\"><ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\"><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1448\" height=\"1449\" src=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/IMG_1924.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"107585\" data-link=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/?attachment_id=107585\" class=\"wp-image-107585 lazyload\"\/><\/figure><\/li><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1467\" height=\"1467\" src=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/IMG_1926.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"107586\" data-link=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/?attachment_id=107586\" class=\"wp-image-107586 lazyload\"\/><\/figure><\/li><\/ul><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The case features an LED indicator on the front to display status, plus a Bluetooth pairing button on the bottom. It&#8217;s a little bulkier than my compact AirPods 4 case, but has a larger battery. More on that later. There&#8217;s also multipoint for simultaneous connection of two devices, enabling quick automatic switching. Google Fast Pair gives you one-touch pairing on Android devices. The earbuds also support Auracast, which lets you share media to multiple headphones or tap into public transmissions. While the app warns it can result in an unstable connection, game mode reduces the latency to under 50ms for a smooth gaming experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pairing to my iPhone was a straight forward experience. Open the case, remove the insulating film between the earbuds and the case (this one has caught me out in the past), put the earbuds back in the case, close and reopen the lid. The earbuds automatically go into pairing mode and showed up in settings right away. After pairing, I opened the app, which immediately recognized the earbuds and identified an update. The update downloaded and installed in around two minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While in the app, I initiated multipoint and connected the earbuds to my laptop quickly and easily. Alternatively, this can be done by placing the earbuds back in the case and entering pairing mode. With two devices connected, the earbuds automatically switch to the device actively playing media, as intended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Screenshot-2026-04-10-at-12.02.21.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-107590 lazyload\" width=\"293\" height=\"317\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<a name=\"app\"><\/a>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3>EarFun Audio app<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The EarFun app gives you additional controls to personalize the earbuds. At the top of the app, you&#8217;ll see the battery status of each earbud and the case, followed by the device name, noise cancellation mode (more on that later), toggle in-ear detection, customize the controls (more on that later too), update the firmware, plus the ability to enable game mode, multipoint, LE Audio, Auracast and LDAC. The earbuds feature 10mm composite dynamic drivers and a balance armature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The earbuds sound great across a variety of genres. They get reasonably loud with no distortion at full volume, but are perhaps a little tinny at times, however this can be compensated for using the app&#8217;s equalizer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are three microphones in each earbud, including a feedforward mic, feedback mic and talk mic, plus Qualcomm&#8217;s cVc 8.0 technology, which uses a machine learning AI algorithm to focus in on your voice and reduce noise for calls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<a name=\"anc\"><\/a>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3>Noise cancellation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The mics are also used for noise cancellation. The Air Pro 4+ feature Qualcomm&#8217;s hybrid adaptive active noise cancellation technology, with EarFun&#8217;s QuietSmart 3.0, which claims up to 50dB of noise reduction. There are three basic options for noise cancellation in the app: <em>Normal<\/em>, <em>Ambient Sound<\/em> and <em>Noise Cancelling<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Normal<\/strong> turns off any active noise cancellation and is best for preserving battery, especially when noise cancellation is unneeded in quiet environments. The in-ear tips do provide a decent amount of passive noise isolation anyway, so &#8216;Normal&#8217; is often a viable option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ambient Sound<\/strong> has two modes: <em>Default<\/em> and <em>Natural<\/em>. Ambient passes some of the outside world through to you, to help you stay aware of your surroundings. Both modes sound fairly natural, but do produce a small amount of hiss that&#8217;s audible in quiet environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-2 is-cropped\"><ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\"><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1170\" height=\"1467\" src=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/IMG_1952.png\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"107593\" data-link=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/?attachment_id=107593\" class=\"wp-image-107593 lazyload\"\/><\/figure><\/li><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1170\" height=\"1467\" src=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/IMG_1951.png\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"107594\" data-link=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/?attachment_id=107594\" class=\"wp-image-107594 lazyload\"\/><\/figure><\/li><\/ul><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Noise Cancelling<\/strong> is likely where you&#8217;ll spend most of your time. There are four modes here: <em>AI Ear Adaptive ANC<\/em>, <em>AI Environment Adaptive ANC<\/em>, <em>Manual adjustment<\/em>, and <em>Wind Noise Cancelling<\/em>. The former two seem to do a similarly good job of removing most noise, particularly in the low end. Manual adjustment provides a slider to dial in exactly how much cancellation you want. <em>Wind Noise Cancellation<\/em> will focus on reducing wind, which is great for runners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As you switch between modes, vocal prompts will let you know what mode you&#8217;re in. Each bud is individually fully customizable in the app, with the ability to assign single taps, double taps, triple taps and long presses to volume up\/down, next\/previous track, play\/pause, voice assistant, noise cancelling, game mode, answer\/reject\/hang up\/transfer\/redial calls, mute microphone, or nothing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An additional level of control is available via the voice assistant functionality. In-ear detection means that the earbuds automatically pause media when removed from the ear, and resume when placed back in.
