Samsung\u2019s new Hearapy app has launched, promising to use sound to reduce motion sickness in 60 seconds.<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Motion sickness isn\u2019t exactly rare. Whether it be from long drives, boats, or even scrolling on your phone when you\u2019re on the move, it can hit anyone. But, no one likes the dizziness, nausea, sweats, or vomiting that could potentially come with it. Luckily, Samsung\u2019s new Hearapy <\/em>app is here to help. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just launched on Android, the free app uses sound to help your body rebalance and reduce the symptoms of motion sickness. Hearapy plays a low-frequency 100Hz sine wave through your headphones for 60 seconds, but can be adjusted between 40 seconds and 120 seconds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It works by stimulating the inner ear. Specifically, the part responsible for balance and orientation. It follows recent research from Nagoya University in Japan, where they found that certain frequencies could reduce the dizziness and discomfort linked to motion sickness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The results? Hearapy suggests relief can last up to two hours after a 60-second session. It\u2019s not a guaranteed cure, but it\u2019s an easy option to try for anyone who struggles from motion sickness. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the music industry, it could be particularly useful for touring artists and crew members who are constantly on the move. Motion sickness can impact wellbeing on the road, but a quick fix like this could make those long journeys a lot more manageable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whether Hearapy becomes an essential travel partner remains to be seen. But for now, it\u2019s a cool use of sound tech that could be worth checking out for Android users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
