Here\u2019s how the changes look:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4>Individual plans<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Non-Prime members<\/strong>: Price rise from $11.99 to $12.99 per month<\/li><li><strong>Prime members<\/strong>: Price rise from $10.99 to $11.99<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4>Family plans<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Price rise from $199 to $219 annually<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>At the time of writing, there\u2019s no news on any updates to the price of student or monthly family pricing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4>Prime plays a role<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>As you can see, Amazon Prime members still get a slightly lower subscription price. This discount is a key selling point for Amazon under its wider bundling strategy, which ultimately sees Amazon Music&#8217;s price drop $1 below Spotify Premium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More broadly speaking, bundling is central to how Amazon operates. Recent financial results highlighted by <a href=\"https:\/\/musically.com\/2026\/02\/06\/amazon-music-increases-subscription-prices-in-the-us-and-uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MusicAlly<\/a> show Amazon\u2019s revenue increased by 14% to $213.4bn in Q4 of 2025, with $13.12bn coming from subscription services like Amazon Prime, Amazon Music, Audible, and Prime Video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Amazon isn\u2019t just competing with music streaming services. Instead, its subscription bundling is designed to keep users inside the Amazon ecosystem, where the perceived cost of music feels smaller as it&#8217;s wrapped into everything else.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Why Amazon is raising prices<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Platforms, including Amazon, continue to say these price increases are necessary to support investment into its streaming offering. We\u2019ve heard it before too, whether it be to improve the content available, or to enhance the listening experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is true for Amazon Music Unlimited too.
