Now, <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/upload-your-music-to-spotify-for-free\/\">Spotify<\/a> is rolling out group chats, amending the <a href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.spotify.com\/2025-08-26\/introducing-messages-a-new-way-to-share-what-you-love-on-spotify-with-friends-and-family\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">original Messages announcement<\/a> post with the addition. Instead of just sharing content one-to-one, users can now share the podcasts, playlists, and audiobooks with up to 10 friends and family in the same chat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It works in the same way as 1-to-1 messages too. Simply click the share icon from the Now Playing View, and select who you want to share with. When fans can talk about a track the moment they hear it, discovery becomes more of a social experience, rather than a solo one. For artists, that means more opportunity to get your music heard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It also reinforces Spotify\u2019s wider push into social listening. Earlier this year, Spotify released two new social tools for its messaging feature: <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/spotify-listening-activity-and-request-to-jam\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">live listening activity and Request to Jam<\/a>.
