For example, 2025 saw the likes of Breakin\u2019 Dishes <\/em>by Rihanna, Let Down <\/em>by Radiohead, and Rock That Body <\/em>by the Black Eyed Peas back into the spotlight on TikTok.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TikTok crowned KATSEYE as its Global Artist of the year for 2025. Popular with fans around the world, the Los Angeles girl group had multiple viral moments on TikTok this year through tracks like Gnarly and Gabriela. In total, the group racked up over 30 billion views and 12 million creations using their music in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other names in the top ten include household names like Bad Bunny, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, and Ariana Grande.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TikTok\u2019s top global song this year was \u2018Pretty Little Baby\u2019 by the late Connie Francis, first released more than six decades ago (in 1962). Thanks to TikTok, the song exploded and was used in over 28.4 million videos, totalling over 68.6 billion views.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite huge success in the 1950s and 1960s with other hit songs, the renewed attention pushed \u2018Pretty Little Baby\u2019 to become Connie Francis\u2019 most-streamed track on Spotify with over 130 million streams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TikTok\u2019s Most-Saved Artist Globally in 2025: Taylor Swift<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Taylor Swift claimed the top spot as the most-saved artist on TikTok in 2025. The release of her record-breaking album \u2018The Life of a Showgirl\u2019 led to millions of pre-saves and loads more saves upon release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TikTok\u2019s Most-Saved Track Globally in 2025: \u2018back to friends\u2019 by sombr<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The most-saved song of the year was sombr\u2019s \u2018back to friends\u2019. After blowing up early in the year, the song has been used in over 7.7 million videos with more than 21.7 billion combined views. The track has since crossed 1.1 billion streams on Spotify.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TikTok\u2019s Most-Saved Album Globally in 2025: \u2018So Close To What\u2019 by Tate McRae<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The most-saved album on TikTok in 2025 was Tate McRae\u2019s \u2018So Close To What\u2019. With over 13.5 million TikTok followers, Tate McRae has a huge presence on the platform. That presence continues to translate into direct streams, and undoubtedly plays a hand in her 54 million monthly Spotify listeners. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

TikTok\u2019s Music Trend of 2025: \u2018Anxiety\u2019 by Doechii<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If you opened TikTok at any point this year, you probably encountered Doechii\u2019s \u2018Anxiety\u2019. After fans discovered the demo of the track, originally uploaded in 2019, Doechii re-recorded and released it in March 2025. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The track sparked a huge global dance trend, and generated 10.4 million video creations and 51.6 billion views. Again, the track\u2019s TikTok success has translated into chart success as it reached the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 and earned Doechii five Grammy nominations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TikTok\u2019s Songwriter of 2025: EJAE<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

New York-based EJAE is TikTok\u2019s songwriter of the year. She had a breakout year shaped by her work in the popular KPop Demon Hunters. Serving as the singing voice for Rumi and co-writing much of the show\u2019s soundtrack, she contributed to one of the biggest soundtracks of the year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
