Shared Collections and Shared Feeds will be rolling out globally in the coming months, aiming to make collaborative discovery and organisation more seamless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As noted by <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2025\/12\/08\/tiktok-adds-a-space-for-organizing-content-with-others-teases-shared-feeds\/\">TechCrunch<\/a>, Shared Collections build on TikTok\u2019s earlier individual Collections, which let users save videos into personal folders. Now, two users who follow each other can create a shared space to organise videos together. TikTok explains: \u201cWhether it\u2019s content from their favorite creators, inspiration for a home design project, or a new skill they\u2019re learning together, Shared Collection makes it easy for people to stay organized as they discover and save on TikTok.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Users can choose to keep these collections private, just for friends and family, or make them public for the wider TikTok community. This makes it possible to collaboratively save ideas, plan projects, or simply collect videos around shared interests. In order to take advantage of this feature, users must be following one another before one can invite the other to join a shared folder. Shared Collections are available globally to accounts over the age of 16.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The upcoming Shared Feeds take collaboration a step further by letting users watch content together through direct messages. Once an invitation is sent and accepted, TikTok generates a feed of 15 videos daily, tailored to the interests of both participants. The algorithm considers what each person likes, watches, and comments on, ensuring the feed reflects their combined tastes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Users can chat about each video, like them, and, after watching all entries, view a \u201cShared Likes\u201d history that shows which clips both enjoyed. Invitations are optional, and users can leave a Shared Feed at any time, giving full control over participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This concept is similar to<a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/instagram-launches-blend-a-new-shared-reels-feed-for-you-and-your-friends\/\"> Instagram\u2019s Blend feature<\/a>, which also creates a shared Reels feed for friends inside DMs. Both features allow joint discovery based on combined interests, but TikTok adds a fixed daily selection and a stronger organisational element through Shared Collections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These new features show that TikTok is continuing to keep up with competitors while moving towards more collaborative experiences.
