Instagram<\/a> has just made editing stories a whole lot easier. The platform is rolling out Restyle<\/a>, a new AI-powered tool that lets users transform their Stories. It utilizes Meta AI directly within the app to easily edit both photos and videos, without requiring outside editing apps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What Restyle can do<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Restyle combines preset effects with text-based AI prompts, giving users plenty of creative freedom. The preset styles let you easily change how your videos are looking, with both big or small edits. For example, the \u2018remove\u2019 feature lets you remove unwanted objects in the background, with the \u2018add\u2019 feature letting you add smaller details. Meanwhile, you can completely transform the look and feel of your image by changing your outfit, image style, or even the background in videos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to use Restyle<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Getting started with Restyle is easy. Simply select the photo or video you want to share as an Instagram Story, and find Restyle under the paintbrush icon in the Stories editor. From there, Restyle lets users enter a quick text prompt to add, remove, or change elements in a photo or video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instagram also shared a few tips for writing strong prompts: be specific about the subject, style, lighting, and even the location. The more details, the more likely Meta AI can \u2018match your vision\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Restyle is the latest in a string of AI updates from Meta. The company recently launched Vibes<\/a>, a fun AI-generated video feed direct in the Meta AI app. Earlier this year, the company introduced AI-powered video editing tools<\/a> for its app, website, and Edits. This tool lets users apply presets and tweak details like outfits in a very similar manner to what Restyle now brings directly to Instagram Stories.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
