The platform has rolled out a new feature that lets users share playlists with friends on other streaming services<\/a>. That means no more awkward workaround or endlessly hunting down tracks one-by-one. Just hit share, and your playlist can be opened by users everywhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sharing playlists from Deezer to other platforms is easy. When you hit the share button on a Deezer playlist, the app creates a link that can be opened on other streaming services. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some may be wondering how that\u2019s even possible. But behind the scenes, Deezer\u2019s automatic song detection technology matches tracks to their equivalents elsewhere. The system finds the right version of each song, and then redirects users to their own streaming platform to play it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bigger picture<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This move is part of Deezer\u2019s broader effort to put sharing back at the heart of the music experience. The platform began these efforts with Deezer Shaker<\/a> in 2023, a feature that let users build collaborative mixes across services. Earlier this year, they made it possible to share individual tracks between platforms<\/a>. Now, Deezer are letting users share whole playlists across music services. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deezer wants to encourage more connection between music fans, and it\u2019s no surprise that playlist sharing is at the forefront. According to Deezer, they\u2019re the most-shared type of content on the platform, especially among users aged 18-34 who share over 190,000 playlists every week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
