{"id":105861,"date":"2025-08-29T14:37:05","date_gmt":"2025-08-29T13:37:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/?p=105861"},"modified":"2025-08-29T14:37:08","modified_gmt":"2025-08-29T13:37:08","slug":"youtube-hype-in-39-countries","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/youtube-hype-in-39-countries\/","title":{"rendered":"YouTube Hype is now available to creators and fans in 39 countries"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 style=\"user-select: auto;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff; user-select: auto;\">YouTube expands their new &#8220;Hype&#8221; tool globally and announces new and upcoming features to help fans show appreciation and creators grow.<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/hype-a-new-way-for-small-creators-on-youtube-to-stand-out\/\">YouTube launched a limited beta test of &#8220;Hype&#8221; in September last year,<\/a> before <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/youtube-expands-hype-program-a-new-opportunity-for-emerging-creators\/\">expanding earlier this year.<\/a> Aimed at helping emerging creators break through, the feature allows fans to &#8220;Hype&#8221; up to three videos per week from creators under 500,000 subscribers. Now, &#8220;Hype&#8221; is available in more countries, including <em>US<\/em>, <em>UK<\/em>, <em>Japan<\/em>, <em>Korea<\/em>, <em>Indonesia<\/em>, and <em>India<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Every time a video is hyped, it receives points. The fewer subscribers the creator has, the more points it earns. Videos with the most points will show in a country-specific ranked &#8220;Top 100&#8221; leaderboard. The &#8220;Hype&#8221; leaderboard is available via the &#8220;Explore&#8221; panel on the mobile app. You can filter the list by categories, such as &#8220;Gaming&#8221;, &#8220;Vlog&#8221;, &#8220;Sports&#8221;, etc. Here, you&#8217;ll also find &#8220;My Hyped&#8221;, which lets you keep track of how your hyped videos are doing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"800\" height=\"834\" src=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Secondary_-_hype_leaderboard-width-800-format-webp.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-105863 lazyload\"\/><figcaption><em>Image Credit: <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.youtube\/news-and-events\/hype-global-expansion\/\">YouTube<\/a><\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>YouTube &#8220;Hype&#8221; is now available in the following countries: <em>Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, Turkey, United Kingdom, and United States<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alongside the global expansion, <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.youtube\/news-and-events\/hype-global-expansion\/\">YouTube announced several new features,<\/a> including a new &#8220;Hype&#8221; button under videos, a &#8220;Hyped&#8221; badge on popular videos across YouTube, and the ability to filter the Home feed with the new &#8220;Hyped&#8221; category. Additionally, you will now also receive a notification when a video you&#8217;ve hyped is close to the leaderboard, plus the most dedicated fans can earn a new &#8220;Hype Star&#8221; badge each month to share with others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Creators can see how many hypes and hype points their videos have in the YouTube Studio mobile app. There&#8217;s also a new hype card and recap available in weekly data stories. YouTube says more features are on the way, such as the ability to share that you&#8217;ve just hyped a video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;YouTube Hype&#8221; is designed for new videos from up-and-coming creators.
