Spotify<\/a> has officially announced<\/a> it will be increasing the price of its Premium subscriptions in multiple regions around the world. The price increases will be coming to South Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spotify says the move will help support ongoing innovation and help the platform continue to deliver a \u201cworld-class, personalized experience for every user.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When and by how much are Spotify increasing prices?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Spotify has kept a lid on the specific price increases for each region, but its example email suggests increases of 9%, or the equivalent of \u20ac1 per month. This aligns with reports earlier this year<\/a> that indicated that the price increases may be roughly \u20ac1 per month. That\u2019s slightly less than the \u20ac2 per month rise seen by the Netherlands and Luxembourg in April<\/a>, where a premium plan now costs \u20ac12.99.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
