{"id":105480,"date":"2025-07-30T10:20:29","date_gmt":"2025-07-30T09:20:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/?p=105480"},"modified":"2025-07-30T10:20:31","modified_gmt":"2025-07-30T09:20:31","slug":"spotifys-q2-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/spotifys-q2-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Spotify&#8217;s Q2 2025 earnings reveals subscribers and monthly active users"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 style=\"user-select: auto;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff; user-select: auto;\">Spotify has just reported their second quarter earnings, updating their monthly active user and subscriber numbers.<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With growth across all areas, Spotify remains the go to place for music, podcasts and audiobooks, driving discovery and connection between millions of artists, creators, authors and fans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Spotify&#8217;s latest results details statistics across April to the end of June 2025, as well as the whole first half of the year. In the first half of 2025, Spotify&#8217;s subscriber net addition grew more than 30% compared to the first half of 2024. This quarter, was the second highest Q2 for monthly active user net additions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of June this year, Spotify had almost 700 million users and over 275 million subscribers, an over 10% year-over-year increase in both areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Subscribers climbed 12% Y\/Y to 276 million.<\/li><li>Monthly Active Users grew 11% Y\/Y to 696 million.<\/li><li>Total Revenue increased 10% Y\/Y to \u20ac4.2 billion.<\/li><li>Gross Margin improved by 227 bps YoY to 31.5%.<\/li><li>Operating Income reached \u20ac406M.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>People come to Spotify and they stay on Spotify.
