Those recordings are automatically mixed, mastered, and uploaded to the Setmixer platform, often within just 12 hours. The result is a studio-quality souvenir of the night, available to stream or purchase by the very fans who were in the room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently partnered with 55 grassroots venues, Setmixer is aimed squarely at the independent live music ecosystem. Artists keep 70% of the proceeds from each sale, with venues earning 10% and Setmixer retaining the rest. If fans or artists purchase the multitrack stems themselves, ideal for remixing, archiving, or reuse, the revenue is split 50\/50 between artist and venue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In its pre-launch phase, Setmixer captured over 10,000 live sets and worked with more than 3,000 artists, building a library of content that spans genres, regions, and fanbases. With recordings priced between \u00a33 and \u00a35, even modest uptake can yield meaningful earnings. For example, if 10% of a 500-person crowd purchases a set at \u00a35, an artist could walk away with over \u00a31,400 in digital sales, just from one night on stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Setmixer\u2019s CEO Pascal de Mul, a former executive at Spotify and Deezer, says the idea came from a simple observation: fans often leave gigs wanting to relive what they just experienced. \u201cWe\u2019re giving people a way to hold onto that energy, without needing to record it themselves, without bootlegs, without waiting weeks for a post,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd for artists, this opens up a passive income stream that rewards their performance instantly.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier this year, Setmixer introduced a companion Venue App, giving promoters and sound engineers tools to manage their recordings, set pricing, and monitor earnings in real time. The company also uses AI-assisted mixing to ensure each set sounds clean, balanced, and ready for fans, no extra studio work required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Setmixer\u2019s launch comes at a moment of rising interest in live content. With streaming audiences increasingly looking for unique, one-of-a-kind experiences, high-quality recordings of live shows are becoming more desirable than ever.
