The new tool lets you automatically display what you&#8217;re listening to as your temporary status in Instagram\u2019s direct messages area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This update is part of Instagram\u2019s ongoing effort to help users express themselves more easily through music and other creative tools. According to a Meta spokesperson, the Spotify integration began rolling out on 12th June 2025, allowing users to show the name of the song and artist they\u2019re currently listening to on Spotify directly in their Notes. This status appears above your profile icon in DMs and will update automatically based on your listening activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To view the full song and artist name, others can tap the green Spotify bubble that appears above your profile picture. As The Verge <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/news\/685953\/instagram-notes-spotify-song-share-reels-update\">reports<\/a>, this new feature is part of Instagram\u2019s broader \u201cAnyway\u201d campaign, which aims to &#8220;reduce pressure and supercharge creativity&#8221; for creators.
