A Spotify update makes it easier than ever to manage your music downloads across all your devices.<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Spotify\u2019s latest update for device management<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Spotify<\/a> is introducing a new update designed to make managing downloads across devices way easier, according to 9to5Google<\/a>. The platform is rolling out two new features: remote downloads and improved device management tools. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since this feature includes offline downloads, it is of course exclusive to Spotify Premium users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Download playlists to your devices from anywhere<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Gone are the days of having to physically be using your device to start a download. With this new update, Premium users can now initiate downloads on their laptop, tablet, or smartwatch- straight from their phone. This spans downloads across playlists, podcasts, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Already available for Apple Watch<\/a>, this remote download functionality is now expanding to include desktop, tablet, and Wear OS smart watches like the Galaxy Watch and Pixel Watch. Even if you\u2019re in a completely different location such as the gym or in a completely different city, you can still start the download.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Smarter download management across devices<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Spotify is also making it easier to keep track of where your music is downloaded. A new \u201cManage Downloads\u201d is available when accessing a playlist, letting users see a list of all devices with downloaded content. This is especially helpful for those nearing Spotify\u2019s five-device download limit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not only can you view what\u2019s downloaded where, but you can also remove downloads remotely. No need to dig through each device manually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both features make it easier for Premium subscribers to manage their downloads across their devices- enhancing the streaming experience to be more flexible and user-friendly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The features are rolling out globally and should be available to all users “in the coming weeks”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
