Sony Music India and The Hello Group (THG), a Los Angeles\u2013based entertainment conglomerate, have joined forces to launch a new artist management joint venture: THG India. This new venture aims to provide Indian artists with world-class management, global touring opportunities, and music publishing support, an infrastructure long missing in one of the world\u2019s fastest-growing music markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The move marks a major strategic step for both companies as they respond to the rising global demand for South Asian talent and the continued evolution of India\u2019s music landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THG India will act as a full-service artist management company, combining Sony Music India\u2019s domestic presence and understanding of the local market with The Hello Group\u2019s international network in live touring, publishing, sync, and music business operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The partnership is designed to help artists not just to break out in India, but to reach audiences around the world. From managing careers and brand strategy to booking live shows, managing rights, and securing sync deals, THG India will offer the type of full-spectrum support that\u2019s been largely unavailable in India until now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Taylor Jones, CEO of The Hello Group, said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIndia has an incredible wealth of talent, but access to global opportunities has often been limited. THG India is here to change that. We\u2019re building a platform that can take Indian artists to the world.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vinit Thakkar, Managing Director of Sony Music India, called the venture a \u201cgreat moment\u201d for the Indian music ecosystem and emphasized its potential to fill a critical gap in the market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

India\u2019s music scene has undergone a transformation over the last decade. A rapidly expanding youth demographic, rising smartphone use, and increasing access to global streaming platforms have helped catapult Indian music to a larger market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yet, the artist management ecosystem in India has lagged behind. Most artists operate independently or rely on limited local infrastructure. With THG India, Sony and THG aim to change that, not just by offering professional management, but by creating direct connections to global touring circuits, publishing networks, and brand partnerships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Hello Group has established itself as one of the leading independent entertainment companies in the U.S., representing major acts across genres and having managed worldwide campaigns and partnerships for artists, songwriters, and producers. Its music publishing division has worked on hits for BTS, Meghan Trainor, and The Chainsmokers. It also has a growing presence in Asia, including India, where it has already contributed to collaborations involving The Chainsmokers and Steve Aoki with Indian artists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Sony Music India, the move is part of a broader strategy to evolve from a traditional label into a full-scale entertainment brand that nurtures talent across film, music, and digital platforms. The company has already announced partnerships with Tiger Baby Records and Maddock Films to develop soundtracks and A&R support. THG India represents another vertical that deepens Sony\u2019s local investment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THG India will begin announcing its initial artist signings in the coming months and is expected to focus on a diverse roster, including multilingual pop artists, producers, regional acts, and singer-songwriters. The company will be headquartered in Mumbai, with creative and touring coordination supported by THG\u2019s teams in Los Angeles and London.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
